Adaptation diary - week two :)

Converting a two-bedroom apartment into a three-bedroom apartment, Dobrinja

The second week of adaptation started similarly to the one before – with the noise, dust, old installation and material inputs.

First we start with taking off old plumbing installations – lead pipes that can cause serious health conditions, according to the newest research. Considering the need to relocate the existing layout of the sanitary facilities, we certainly had to redo everything. After three days of work, new plastic pipes were in their place. After three days of work, the new plastic water pipes were each in their place.

What we always do, we did this time as well - by redoing the existing ones and adding new walls, we improved the functionality of the existing condition. With the one move, we changed from a two-bedroom apartment to a three-bedroom. To be honest, we reduced the comfort of the previous kitchen and dining room, but we got an additional bedroom. Today, kitchens are anyway more for showing the art of making panel furniture, less for their basic role - the role of cooking :)

External carpentry came by the end of the week. The old wood carpentry has been successfully removed and, likely, it is not dangerous anymore for passers-by.

Let's not forget – this week an electrician also came by. Considering our demands to change all the electrical installations and implementing the new one, he was very happy. The pre-war concrete walls are a real treat for his hilts (he's burned 2 so far). And always the same question – is it possible that you never buy an apartment that is mostly made of bricks?!

With the agreement to continue the work, we say our warm goodbyes to you.
